April Palmerlee’s International Women’s Day Keynote Speech at the 2017 Fulbright Gala Dinner

Ms April Palmerlee, Director of Events and Partnerships at the University of Sydney’s U.S. Studies Centre, delivered a heartfelt keynote speech at the 2017 Fulbright Gala Presentation Dinner, highlighting the history of Canberra, Fulbright, and some influential female figures for International Women’s Day.

“It is right and fitting that we are meeting on International Women’s Day, a collective day of global celebration and a call for gender parity. No one government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women’s network or media hub is the sole custodian for International Women’s Day: it belongs to everyone.”
